The Award Committee for the 2024 competition of the ISGS PhD Thesis award 2024 has given the silver medal to Dr. Ana Iglesias-Mejuto, an AerogelsLab member. Her Thesis was entitled “Development of aerogel-based formulations for regenerative medicine” and was supervised by Carlos A. García-González and Inés Ardao-Palacios. 3D-printed aerogels were fabricated by a dual procesing strategy emcompassing 3D-printing of biopolimeric gels and their subsequent supercritical CO2 drying, toward their use for bone tissue engineering applications.
