AerogelsLab attended to the SEFIG 2025 congress and update on current pharmaceutical innovations

AerogelsLab members —Ana Iglesias, Mariana Landín, and Carlos Illanes— attended the XVII Congress of the Spanish Society of Industrial Pharmacy and Galenics (SEFIG 2025), held from January 22 to 24 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain). During the event, they had the opportunity to attend highly relevant and up-to-date presentations on topics such as innovation in teaching, the use of high-impact tools in scientific research, strategies and technologies for drug development and the latest updates on Good Manufacturing Practices.

AerogelsLab attendees had the opportunity to present their work at SEFIG 2025. Mariana Landín delivered a talk titled “Uso de herramientas de inteligencia artificial en el descubrimiento y desarrollo de medicamentos”, Carlos Illanes gave an oral presentation entitled “Diseño de aerogeles nucleo-cubierta mediante herramientas de inteligencia artificial para cesión de fármacos”  and Ana Iglesias presented the poster entitled “Aerogeles bioactivos cargados con vancimicina para ingeniería de tejidos ósea avanzada”. The three presentations generated high interest from the audience, making the experience highly positive for the visibility and networking of AerogelsLab.
