GREEN4AGEING research published in J Biomed Mater Res B in the top downloaded in recent publication history

The review article from GREEN4AGEING project entitled “A new era for sterilization based on supercritical CO₂ technology” and published in Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Part B: Applied Biomaterials has generated immediate impact on the field, being awarded by the journal as one of the most downloaded articles between January 2018 and December 2019.

To date, there is no effective sterilization technique for application in a wide range of medical devices, especially when these are formed by different materials or of biological origin. This review has a special focus supercritical CO₂ sterilization in three application fields (medicine, pharmaceutical and food industries) where sterilization protocols are of utmost importance.
